Artwork Guidelines
The better your source file, the sharper your print. Here's what our print team needs to get the best possible result.
Do
- • Use a 300dpi (or higher) file at the actual print size
- • PNG with a transparent background for logos and graphics
- • PDF with outlined/embedded fonts for text-heavy designs
- • CMYK colour mode for screen printing jobs
- • Keep important details at least 5mm from any edge
Avoid
- • Low-resolution images pulled from social media or the web
- • Screenshots of designs — always use the original file
- • Text that relies on a font we won't have unless it's outlined
- • Designs that rely on gradients for screen printing (embroidery/DTF handle these better)
File specs by method
- Screen printing
- Vector (PDF) preferred, spot colours separated where possible.
- Embroidery
- High-contrast PNG or PDF — we digitise the design for stitching in-house.
- DTF / UV DTF transfers
- 300dpi PNG with a transparent background, full colour and gradients are fine.
